Wikiserial Community User Charter
Introduction
This User Charter defines the principles of conduct, interaction, and ethics for participants in the international Wikiserial community.
The Charter is the community's internal code of conduct and is intended to maintain a friendly, safe, and neutral atmosphere of collaboration.
It does not replace or contradict the project's User Agreement, but rather complements it by clarifying the cultural and moral principles of participation.
If the provisions of the Charter and the User Agreement differ, the User Agreement takes precedence.
Goals and Values
The Charter serves as a guide for all Wikiserial community members and enshrines shared values:
- respect for the individual and work of others;
- neutrality and objectivity of content;
- openness and friendliness in communication;
- willingness to collaborate and learn.
Principles of Participation
- Community participation is voluntary and free from discrimination;
- Every user has the right to edit materials, subject to the project rules;
- Contributions are valued regardless of experience, language, or country of origin;
- Decisions are made by consensus or open discussion.
Conduct and Communication
All users agree to:
- behave respectfully and constructively;
- avoid insults, threats, discrimination, and trolling;
- focus on the content of edits, not on individuals;
- not use the platform for political campaigning, advertising, or spam.
Any form of aggressive behavior, defamation, discrimination, or provocation is contrary to the spirit of the community and may result in account blocking.
The Role of Administrators and Moderators
- Administrators and moderators act as guardians of order and neutrality;
- They enforce the Charter but do not have any advantage over other users;
- Their decisions are transparent, documented, and can be challenged in discussions;
- Moderation is aimed at maintaining a constructive atmosphere, not censorship.
Conflicts and Dispute Resolution
- Disputes between participants are resolved openly, through discussion;
- If agreement cannot be reached, a neutral mediator or the administration will be involved;
- Repeated violations of the community guidelines may result in access restrictions.
Principle of Openness
- All participant actions (edits, discussions, voting) are available for viewing;
- Transparency is the foundation of trust in the community;
- Exceptions are possible only for technical or legal reasons (e.g., privacy protection).
Participant Rewards
- Active editors and community members can receive rewards in WIKIS tokens;
- Rewards do not constitute an employment or commercial relationship between the participant and the project;
- Reward decisions are made by the administration or based on automated contribution metrics.
Responsibility and Integrity
Each user is responsible for their actions on the platform. By publishing or editing materials, the participant confirms that:
- they respect copyright and related rights;
- they act in the interests of the project and the community;
- they strive to ensure the reliability and accuracy of information.
Acceptance of the Charter
Use of the Website and participation in the Wikiserial community constitutes agreement with this Charter. Violations of the Charter will be reviewed by the administration and may result in temporary or permanent restrictions on participation.
