Plot
A brief description of the events of the series
The plot of the series "Ash vs. Evil Dead" revolves around the life of Ash Williams, an ordinary guy who works in an electronics store and lives in a modest trailer. He once faced terrifying evil forces, but he chose to leave it in the past and forget the terrifying events. However, his peaceful life is shattered when, in an attempt to impress a girl, Ash thoughtlessly casts a spell from the Necronomicon, the legendary "Book of the Dead." This fatal error awakens an ancient darkness, opening a portal to the underworld and unleashing hordes of terrifying undead.
Realizing the magnitude of his mistake, Ash returns to his old ways: armed with the infamous chainsaw, he becomes humanity's best hope and engages in a deadly battle with demonic entities. Along this dangerous path, he is supported by his devoted friends—the charismatic consultant Pablo and the courageous cashier Kelly. Together, they become an unrivaled trio, traveling the American roads in Ash's trailer, destroying evil and trying to once and for all close the gates through which evil has broken into our world.

Season 1
The first season of the television series "Ash vs. Evil Dead" continues the storyline begun thirty years ago in the franchise, focusing on the events and psychological development of the protagonist, Ash Williams. After his first encounter with demonic forces, Ash's life has changed dramatically, losing his former heroism and sinking into a mundane routine. Now he works as a supermarket clerk, lives in a trailer, and spends his evenings drinking at local bars, making casual acquaintances.
After inadvertently reading a spell from the legendary Book of the Dead, Ash again opens a portal for the demon Kandarian, triggering a chain of events filled with horror and chaos. One of the first consequences is the possession of a recent acquaintance, who, under the demon's control, murders Detective Amanda Fisher's partner. Amanda suspects Ash of involvement in the ongoing tragedies and begins her own investigation, soon finding him.
Realizing the scale of the impending disaster, Ash attempts to leave town, but his colleagues, Pablo and Kelly, stop him, recognizing his key role in the fight against evil. From that moment on, the trio unites to confront the demonic forces, facing numerous challenges. One of the first tests is Ash's suspicion that Kelly's mother is possessed. At first, she appears to be a completely ordinary woman, but Ash's provocative actions reveal her supernatural nature. Through a mystical vision, the shaman reveals a plan for further action: they must return to the cabin in the woods where the entire nightmare began and bury the Necronomicon. Despite successfully exorcising Kelly, the shaman tragically dies. Ruby and Amanda soon arrive at Uncle Pablo's ranch, but find only traces of their hasty departure.
Continuing their search for the cabin in the woods, the group stops at a roadside diner to meet Ash's friend Lem, who promises to supply weapons. While Pablo and Kelly attempt to capture the demon, Amanda arrests Ash. However, evil forces infiltrate the diner, transforming the sheriff and waitress into Evil Dead. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Amanda decides to join Ash's group to unite against the demonic evil.

Ash's life is suddenly turned upside down when he learns of his daughter Brandy's existence—news delivered to him by one of his former lovers. Trying to mend their relationship, Ash faces a serious challenge: Brandy is shaken by her father's notoriety, whom many consider the town's maniac. But this is only the beginning of his troubles. The Necronomicon falls into the hands of journalists, and during a live broadcast, an accidental casting of a spell results in the death of the entire film crew. The spirit reveals the accidental murder of the order's knight and how it hid his body in the basement of a department store. Opening the dungeon, Ash finds the knight's remains and the lost pages of the Necronomicon. Meanwhile, Kelly and the Sumerian knight set out to find Ruby but are attacked by Deadites. The knight dies, forcing Kelly to continue the fight alone.
The chaos grows with each passing day. Determined to end Ruby's threat once and for all, Ash leaves Brandy to guard Kelly and sets out for the final battle. However, tragic events force him to take extreme measures: having lost his daughter, he asks Pablo to kill him in order to descend into the afterlife. There, Ash manages to bring Brandy back to life, though at the cost of temporarily losing Kelly's soul—the demonic Kaya possesses her body.
Overcoming death, Ash teams up with Pablo and his daughter for a final assault on Ruby's lair. But the forces of evil have already begun to conquer reality: Earth is plunging into chaos under the onslaught of evil, growing stronger with every step. Realizing the hopelessness of the situation, Ash sends Brandy, Pablo, and the restored Kelly to safety. Alone and facing an army of monsters, Ash enters the final battle to save the world.

On the pages of the comics, he's had incredible adventures, including a trip to an alternate Marvel Universe, where he battled superheroes and villains who had turned into zombies. Add to this his extended stay in the Middle Ages, which completely immersed him in a completely different era, and it becomes clear why he's become an iconic figure in the horror genre.
Ash has repeatedly crossed paths with iconic horror characters like Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees. In Jason Goes to Hell, Jason himself is portrayed as a undead figure, similar to the monsters of the Evil Dead universe. Elements of this universe, such as the Necronomicon and the Kandarian dagger, also found their way into the film, sparking numerous fan theories. Director Adam Marcus admitted in an interview with Horror Geek Life that he included these details secretly; New Line studios were unaware of their use due to copyright issues. This served as a sort of Easter egg for observant viewers and reinforced the mythological subtext of the story. According to Marcus, the idea was that Jason Voorhees was a undead figure.
