Better Call Saul
The American crime drama series Better Call Saul, which premiered on February 8, 2015, on AMC, combines the genres of a prequel and spin-off to Vince Gilligan's cult classic Breaking Bad. Conceived by Gilligan himself, in collaboration with master screenwriter Peter Gould, the series immerses viewers in the events leading up to the well-known dramatic saga.
The title references the catchy advertising slogan of the firm of attorney Saul Goodman, the charismatic character from the original show. But the story begins six years before Saul's on-screen debut. It all begins with Jimmy McGill, an ambitious aspiring lawyer with a complicated personal reputation and a knack for finding a way out of even the most difficult situations. Gradually, viewers witness his transformation into the charming yet devious lawyer Saul Goodman. Beyond Jimmy himself, the story features a vibrant and multifaceted cast of characters: Mike Ehrmantraut, a former cop whose path intersects with the shadowy world of drug trafficking; Kim Wexler, a talented lawyer and the protagonist's love interest; Chuck McGill, Jimmy's older brother and professional adversary; and the ambitious lawyer Howard Hamlin. Rounding out the cast are characters familiar from Breaking Bad—the cunning Gus Fring, Nacho Varga, and the terrifying Lalo Salamanca, all of whom are connected to a dangerous cartel network.
The project's concept was announced on November 20, 2014, and just a few months later, the first episode aired, followed by the second the following day. The second season aired from February to April 2016, with subsequent seasons airing regularly in 2017, 2018, and 2020. The sixth and final season, spanning 13 episodes, concluded the series in 2022. All subsequent seasons contained ten episodes each.
Like its legendary predecessor, Better Call Saul earned rave reviews from critics. Particular praise was given to the acting, the nuanced script, the richly crafted characters, and the impressive cinematography. Some viewers and experts even opined that the prequel even surpassed the original in emotional depth and innovative approach, securing its place among the best television shows of all time. Over the years, the series has received numerous awards and 53 Emmy nominations, a well-deserved testament to its exceptional quality.

Brief Description of Events of the Series
The TV series "Better Call Saul" is a profound narrative about the life of Jimmy McGill, a lawyer whose fate was caught in a series of failures, financial difficulties and difficult family relationships. On the verge of despair, he rushes to find a way out of the vicious circle, guided by the desire to succeed and assert himself in the world. In his determination, he resorts to a risky scam, but soon realizes that he is faced with consequences and scales that he initially underestimated.
Every step of Jimmy's life turns out to be a difficult test, consisting of internal moral conflicts, difficult circumstances and betrayal of loved ones. His natural abilities, ingenuity and audacity, despite their obviousness, do not save him from the feeling of a constant struggle with fate, as if destined to keep him in the status of an eternal loser.
Nevertheless, the ending of the story takes on shades of sincerity and humanity. Jimmy takes off all his masks, returning to his true nature. Greed and ambition fade into the background, giving way to a sober awareness of reality. His desire to achieve dubious successes is replaced by a return to the usual petty machinations. He again finds his place, finding satisfaction in such things as clever deceptions of gullible people or exploiting the weakness of wealthy but inattentive ordinary people.
