The American television series "Dexter" has become a television legend, captivating audiences worldwide. By day, he's a hard-working forensic scientist and bloodstain expert for the Miami Metro Police Department. Fans received wonderful news in October 2020: the long-awaited return of Dexter was announced! A new ten-episode miniseries starring Michael C. Hall, titled "Dexter: The New Blood," premiered on November 7, 2021. Producer Clyde Phillips, who oversaw the first seasons of the original show, once again worked on the project, much to the delight of fans.

The success of this new chapter prompted the creators to expand the universe. In December 2024, audiences were introduced to a prequel titled "Dexter: Original Sin," which revealed the origins of the protagonist's development. And in 2025, a sequel, "Dexter: Resurrection," premiered, reviving the familiar dark atmosphere and gripping intensity.

Dexter continues to be a phenomenon in popular culture, combining the intriguing genre of crime drama with a psychological portrait of a hero who continues to raise questions about the true nature of morality, justice, and humanity.

Plot

A brief description of the events of the series

"Dexter" is a narrative about a person who leads a dual life: during the day, he acts as a blood test expert for the Miami police, while at night he turns into a serial killer who carries out a kind of justice, eliminating those criminals whom the legal system has failed to bring to justice.

The main character, who experienced a traumatic event in childhood, was adopted by a policeman, who managed to direct his uncontrollable thirst for violence in a certain direction. The foster father gave Dexter a set of strict rules known as the "Code", the key of which is the need for irrefutable evidence of the victim's guilt before committing the execution.

Throughout the seasons, the main character encounters extremely dangerous criminals, putting himself at significant risk of exposure. At the same time, his colleagues, including his sister Debra, who also works in the police, sometimes accidentally track down his activities, adding intrigue and drama to the plot.
