This American space Western marks a milestone in the franchise's history, becoming the first full-length live-action production fully integrated into the canon universe. Set five years after the epic events of Return of the Jedi, the series centers on the mysterious bounty hunter Din Djarin, brilliantly portrayed by Pedro Pascal. The second season, which premiered on October 30, 2020, only cemented the show's success with its rich storytelling and even more lavish visuals. Following its success, three spin-offs were launched, each immersing viewers in new corners of the universe. The first was "The Book of Boba Fett," which premiered on December 29, 2021. This was followed by the premiere of "Ahsoka" on August 23, 2023, continuing to expand the Star Wars mythology. The final project at this stage was the series "Foundation Command," which premiered on December 2, 2024.

Plot

The Mandalorian TV series follows the complex and action-packed adventures of a lone bounty hunter who navigates a dangerous and unstable galaxy engulfed in chaos and disorder after the collapse of the Galactic Empire. The main character faces a seemingly simple, yet extremely ambitious task: to deliver a mysterious child to a predetermined location. However, out of a deep sense of responsibility and his own moral convictions, he decides to protect and defend this child from a variety of external threats. By doing so, he not only puts his own life in grave danger, but also his livelihood in jeopardy, as his actions force him to face new enemies and those who now seek to capture him, making him a desirable target for pursuers from all over the galaxy.

• Baby Yoda, contrary to popular belief, is not a product of computer graphics at all. He is a stunning success of robotics, presented in the form of a fully mechanized doll. His movements are carefully coordinated by two professionals: one of them is responsible for the precise transmission of emotions through facial expressions, and the other is focused on controlling the movements of the arms, body and even such small elements as the ears. This approach gives the character a unique charm, since his movements resemble a kind of modern version of a puppet, which especially emphasizes his unique character. It is also worth mentioning that the cost of the toy Yoda is truly impressive - despite its compact size, the price reaches an astronomical five million dollars.

• When developing the image of Din Djarin, the author of the idea, Jon Favreau, drew inspiration from the cult hero Clint Eastwood. This cinematic archetype once influenced George Lucas himself, a genius with creator of the Star Wars universe. Thus, the Mandalorian's image contains echoes of a charismatic cowboy, which emphasizes his calm and mysterious nature.

• An interesting fact about the filming process: if you see Din Djarin in his famous mask, it is quite possible that it is not Pedro Pascal himself in front of you. Due to his busy work schedule, the actor was often replaced by stunt doubles. On the set, two different actors were responsible for the embodiment of the character, who put on armor and a helmet. After filming was completed, Pascal voiced his character, adding familiar intonations and vocal nuances, which complete the creation of a multifaceted and lively image of the legendary bounty hunter.
