Plot

A brief description of the events of the series

The series "Veep" tells the story of a female politician, Selina Meyer, who was first a senator from Maryland, but lost to Stuart Hughes in the 2012 presidential election. Then she became his partner and got the post of vice president.

Over time, Selina gained power and became influential. By the end of the second season, she was thinking about standing up to Hughes in the 2016 presidential election. But it became irrelevant when Hughes decided not to run for a second term, and Selina launched her presidential campaign.

In 2016, Selina and Tom James ran for President and Vice President of the United States, defeating the Republican candidates. However, the day after the election, journalists reported widespread errors in the counting of votes. Then the question of the presidency of O'Brien or Meyer was put to the vote of the US House of Representatives, and Selina lost, leaving the White House in January 2017.

Some time after that, Selina was engaged in charity work, but by the time of the 2020 elections she had again put forward her candidacy.
